Reverend Michael V. McDevitt, M.A., M.Div. was ordained for the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau in 1971 and currently serves as pastor of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cathedral in Springfield, Missouri.

He did his undergraduate studies at St. Francis College in Loretto, Pennsylvania, earned a master’s degree in comparative religions from Indiana University, a master’s of divinity from St. Meinrad School of Theology and under took additional graduate study at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.

Father McDevitt has taught religion in Catholic high schools and served as vocation director, youth director, and head of the permanent deaconate program for the Springfield-Cape Girardeau diocese, as well as pastor in a number of parishes including St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton in Springfield.
