Prison/Jail Ministry

Weekly visits provide an opportunity for spiritual ministry at the Greene County Jail. If you’re interested, please contact the parish to register for the required training.

Card Outreach

The name of a nursing home or homebound parishioner is supplied to persons sending cards. Each person is contacted by phone, car and/or letter or visited to extend the parish family greetings. A monthly contact is recommended.

Care Team

The Care Team is a group of volunteers working together to provide practical, emotional and spiritual support to individuals and families with health concerns or other special needs. Training for volunteers is provided. Referral forms are available at the parish office and church.

GriefShare

This series offers those grieving the loss of a loved one through death, a 13-week Christian and biblically based program consisting of DVDs, sharing and support. The meeting is held at 6:30 PM Tuesday evenings during the spring and fall. Learn more about the program.

Ministry to the Sick

Trained extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist are assigned to bring the Sacrament on a regular basis to nursing homes, homebound and hospitalized parishioners.

Funeral Dinners

St. Agnes Cathedral offers a bereavement dinner in the dining room for the family of the deceased. Volunteers assist with shopping, preparation and serving of the meal. Bereavement cards are sent tot he grieving families.
